The man at the heart of the German Wirecard scandal, Jan Marsalek was once believed to be a straightforward fraudster. Recent reporting, however, has revealed him as a potential Russian intelligence asset. Dan McCrum, investigative reporter for The Financial Times, is well versed with Marsalek’s shadowy ways.
