Tune in to the second installment of our new Series: Introduction to a Modern Class of Casting Visionaries with our new friend Kharmel Cochrane! Kharmel first cut her cast teeth as a Casting Director in 2012 on the acclaimed Daniel Wolfe music video "Time to Dance" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Callum Turner. She followed this up with award winning films such as ‘Lilting’ (2014) and ‘Home’ (2016) and from then on she’s gone from strength to strength. Over the past 12 years, she has worked across film, television and commercials and has earned a reputation for championing new and diverse talent. Her work on projects like ‘The End of the F**king World’,  ‘The Lighthouse’ and ’The Silent Twins’ firmly cement her position as one of the most exciting British Casting Directors working today.  Kharmel has worked with Alex Garland, Emerald Fennell, Renaldo Marcus Green and Neil Blomkamp in the last year on their new projects, as well as continuing her collaboration with Robert Eggers. Her most recent projects include ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ (2023), Gran Turismo (2023), Saltburn (2023) and the much anticipated ‘Bob Marley: One Love’!
