The Statesboro Revue Frontman - Stewart Mann
THE TROUBADOUR PODCAST - A podcast by Jared "Pete" Gile & Carly Evans
On today’s show, Carly and I get to visit with Stewart Mann; front-man and primary songwriter for The Statesboro Revue out of New Braunfels, TX. Along with being somewhat of a visionary when it comes to his music, Stewart’s gears are always turning, but we’ll get to that in just a second. Formed in 2008, The Statesboro Revue, can be described as a groove oriented, old school southern rock and roll band, with a heap of soul and a dash of swampiness. In 2009, Rolling Stone Magazine noted that the Statesboro Revue performance was a highlight at South by Southwest. On the Troubadour Carly and I get to visit with tons of great artists and just down right good people. This interview with Stewart reinforced that, and he’s definitely a guy I’d just like to sit down and have a beer with. So, let me say a little bit about what kind of a person Stewart is, on top of being such a great artist with his velvety soulful voice. During this time of pandemic in our country, Stewart has recently created I HEART TEXAS ARTS. The goal with I HEART TEXAS ARTS is to provide financial assistance, mental well-being checklists, and life-coaching for those in need. He and Wade Bowen teamed up on the song, “Sinner, Saint, S.O.B.” with proceeds from the song to help fund the I HEART TEXAS ARTS project. Please go stream the song and call your radio station to request it. If you want to contribute to the project please email [email protected]. So here we go with episode #75 of The Troubadour featuring our interview with The Statesboro Revue Frontman, Stewart Mann.
