Leslie Satcher - Hit Songwriter

THE TROUBADOUR PODCAST - A podcast by Jared "Pete" Gile & Carly Evans

Welcome to episode #121 of The Troubadour. You are about to listen to what could quite possibly be my favorite episode Carly and I have recorded so far.  On today’s show we get to visit with hit songwriter and flat out, just a wonderful human being, Leslie Satcher. Leslie has many cuts to her name and every time I’m performing, I cover one of her big hits simply because I feel like the song was written for me.  But it wasn’t!  It was written for anybody who feels like they are coming from somewhere, going somewhere and have more to give.  Her song “Troubadour” was a huge hit for George Strait and still moves me every single time I hear or play it. But, it doesn’t really stop there; another song of Leslie’s that was a big hit was Martina McBride’s single, “When God Fearing Women Get the Blues.” Lately Leslie and her husband David, along with writers for their publishing company have been producing a great new podcast as well called PodPlays.  I’ll let Leslie describe to you the cool concept of what her and David are doing with PodPlays and I’d suggest you listen to an episode or two yourselves. I’m sure you’ll then be hooked just like I was.  Click this LINK to check it out!!! This was simply a great conversation with Leslie so I’ll stop rambling in this intro and just let you all hear it for yourselves.
