HOUR 2 - Will Pickens be Steeler after draft?, Calls, Mike Florio
The PM Team w/Poni & Mueller - A podcast by Audacy - Mercoledì

About a week away from the NFL Draft we are still wondering what the future looks like for George Pickens. Would he net them a 2nd round pick in return to get the Steelers back into that round? Gerry Dulac doesn’t think the team will trade the troubled WR next weekend – in fact, he said it with certainty. The guys went through some of the antics Pickens took part in late last season. Should the Steelers be patient about the offense with Pickens and DK Metcalf as their top 2 threats? Is there a way for both guys to get theirs in this offense? Is it naive for the Steelers to think it will work? If the Steelers are going with the all-in approach with Aaron Rodgers, should they keep their WR corps at full strength? Do fans think the Steelers have a clue on offensive approach? Caller took shot at legendary Pittsburgh weatherman. Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said we are all stuck waiting on Aaron Rodgers and there’s no new development. Mike said the situation in New Orleans with Derek Carr is interesting to note. Mike reminded us that the Vikings door still isn’t fully closed on Rodgers. Mike questioned if the Steelers would say NO to Rodgers at any point this offseason, even if it’s training camp. Mike doesn’t think it’s impossible to have Shedeur Sanders at the same time as Rodgers, but referenced the coin flip it is to draft a QB in their draft slot. Mike thinks after the Saints, the Seahawks may be the only team that has interest in Sanders. Mike does not see Mason Rudolph going into the season as the starter if the goal is to win a playoff game or more. The guys asked Mike if the TJ Watt Instagram post means anything significant and if it means more than his contract price. Mike talked about long ago when the Steelers used to have a revolving door at edge rusher, but it kept working. Mike said the trade market for Watt depends on how the 1st round goes for needy teams.
