HOUR 1 - Will MLB step in on Pirates?, Calls, Tyler Kennedy

The PM Team w/Poni & Mueller - A podcast by Audacy - Mercoledì

Should MLB step in on the Pirates for the sake of Paul Skenes? The guys wondered if that was possible when one of the game’s top insiders insisted that it could happen to benefit one of the league’s brightest young stars. But how realistic is it? If Skenes will end up in a big market a few years from now, does it really matter? Callers sound off on the Pirates’ plight. Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. TK reacted to the news that Kris Letang will undergo a surgery to fix a hole in his heart, which is related to the strokes that he has had in his career. Tyler assured that Letang will be back next season. Tyler gave his thoughts on Sidney Crosby being named the ‘most-complete’ player in hockey for the 6th consecutive year. TK respects the loyalty Crosby has had to the team and organization since the last few seasons have not resulted in playoff appearances. The guys asked Tyler what the biggest issues for the Penguins were this season – and he had a list. Tyler thinks this rebuild is a 5-year plan, but he said it’s risky projecting the future of their aging stars.
