We shared our frustrations in what was a horrible start to the season for the Buccos in 2025. Callers sound off on the Pirates. Pirates pre-post game host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. Dan is not giving up on his 84-win prediction yet, but the only thing keeping him in is the starting pitching. Dan said the Pirates should be 4-0 after the first weekend. How safe is the job of Derek Shelton a few games in? Dan said starting pitching is the hardest thing to do and the Pirates have that down – but will they get better elsewhere? Dan brought up the players out of position and why the defensive struggles are continuing. Dan said when Oneil Cruz locks in, he can be a force, but we don’t know if we’ll ever see that. Dan tried explaining to the guys why the organization likes Shelton so much. Dan wants to hear harsher rhetoric from Shelton, but the players love that he will lay on the tracks with them.
