For any parent - having a child with mental health issues can be a struggle. If you have not experienced mental health challenges yourself - then you just cannot fully relate to what is going on.   I know that sometimes I find this difficult. That’s not to say that you cannot try to understand and help. In this episode, I talk with Jack - my son - about his own personal experiences - in the hope that we can shine a light on what it feels like to live with the constant presence of mental health problems hanging over you. We aim to get under the bonnet of Mental Health … looking out from the inside. We offer parents the opportunity to gain a better understanding of what their child might be experiencing. But also for those struggling - to let you know that you are not alone. ~~~~~ More about Jack Graham : Jack is my favourite son. Well, to be fair, he is my only son. Jack is a freelance journalist living in London with his partner Lindsay. “My past work includes working in hospitality, sales, and even as a ski instructor believe it or not. And now I turn to a career in journalism, one of my true passions in life. It is here is where I try and make sense of the world in these very bizarre times. I’ll talk politics, technology, social affairs, local news, and mental health. I’m honing my skills, hopefully following in the footsteps of some of my favorite journalists of years gone by. I’m aiming to shine a light on the stories that aren’t always told.” Website : www.jack-graham.com Twitter : @itsjackgraham Blogpost : Me and My Mental Health : https://jack-graham.com/2020/11/18/me-and-my-mental-health/ ~~~~~ * Coping with your BIG Emotions : Are you or your child struggling with big emotions at the minute?
