HOT TAKES: The Great Minivan Debate, Our COVID Rant & At-Home Date Ideas

The Mom Voice - A podcast by Sarah Bones & Lauren Willis

Jun. 28, 2020 - In this week's HOT TAKES episode the girls spout off on a lot of random but relevant topics that are affecting moms today. But first, they begin the show by revisiting some of their Instagram chats from the previous week - like Sarah's hat style and the great minivan debate!  It was so fun to hear from listeners on this one and how it was split right down the middle honestly!  Sarah shares that she would drive one if her husband would buy one and Lauren is still in love with her her SUV.   The girls then dive into the stress of COVID here in AZ with the increased numbers of cases these past few weeks. Unsure of what the fall holds for their families, you hear them have some real candid talk on the subject (one of their classic rant sessions really) as they start off by sharing what their school district’s preliminary plans are for reopening. The topic then moves to how we’re all just burned out as mothers at this point and the frustration Sarah has with the media’s constant negativity. They both confess that they have to take periodic breaks from reality really, just to reset and focus on their homes and happy places.   The girls then touch on their summer favorite, BIG BROTHER which they were desperately hoping was going to return this summer. The show is an ultimate quarantine experiment, with strangers locked in a house filmed 24/7. Between the fun, competitions and drama it’s their summer fave for sure!   They then switch gears and offer a few fun (and sexy) at-home date night ideas - from old school making out to a sexy dice game. Hopefully, something they share can spark some fun at home during this time of social distancing.   Closing the show with their hits and misses, Sarah shares her hit of the LEGO storage system she has and how it’s been working and Lauren’s miss of not keeping kids on track with reading and summer school practice. This is a fun, fast-moving one that you’ll hopefully find some relatable messages in!   **For the PogoPass deal that was mentioned by the girls in the episode - visit www.pogopass.com and use code THEMOMVOICE at checkout to get their lowest price of the year!   Thanks so much for tuning in!
