“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matt. 7:7-8) In a world of pandemic & isolation it is easy to become overwhelmed with the emotions of fear, panic, & loneliness. What will become of my loved ones? Where will my family find food & the necessities of life? Will I recover from the loss of health, income, work, or the markets? Soon the knocks at the door Jesus spoke of become louder as our seeking for hope, comfort, & love becomes that much more real. We open ourselves in prayer, in asking the divine to be present, intimate, & real in our midst.
