In my latest post on Medium, I discuss a timely and relevant topic in today’s rapidly changing world of AI: Should Human Intervention be Required for AI to Create New #AI? In this post, I argue that while human involvement will be important in guiding AI systems, they can also be taught to develop new AI systems by themselves. In order for this to happen, I suggest investing more in careful research and development discussions and considering how best to regulate the process of AI-driven AI. At its core, this piece is about the ethical implications of allowing AI to autonomously create new AI systems. By doing so, I explore the possibilities of AI being completely self-sufficient. I discuss the complicated legal implications of this development and argue for better regulation in order to avoid the potential harms that may arise from it.
