Second Rate Review: Traxx (1988)
The Best Bits - A podcast by Will Collins, Kevin Lehane
“Hello and Welcome to The Best Bits: Second Rate Show where we flashback to a random week of release and give a second chance to a film we didn't see the first time.” Will and Kevin return to the summer of “Die Hard”, “Young Guns” and “Cocktail”, and take a chance on Shadoe Steven's obscure and hard-to-find cult action-comedy classic "Traxx". Just relax, here comes Traxx. When gun-toting mercenary Traxx (Shadoe Stevens) retires from a life of combat to begin a cookie baking business, he quickly runs out of money and needs cash fast. Seeing an opportunity in the crime-ridden streets of Hadleyville, Texas, he offers his illicit services to the Chief of Police as a "Town Tamer" - a lunatic vigilante who cleans up the streets by any means necessary. For the scum of the city who get in his way, they have three choices: "Be good, be gone, or be dead."
