The Archers - A podcast by BBC Radio 4

Categorie:

Tom and Natasha agree it’s been a good time to launch Bridge Fresh, ironically. They speculate on what to get Tony for his 70th birthday. But Tom’s preoccupied with Kirsty’s woes. Natasha suggests he goes to see her. He does so, and offers to help her. But he’s not keen when she suggests he helps her find Blake, Kenzie and Jordan. When Natasha asks how it went he’s evasive. She suggests maybe she herself could do something to help Kirsty. But Tom hurries to reassure her he’s got this. Elizabeth tells Shula about the knitted sparrowhawk Vince bought. She observes Vince dotes on his daughter, Steph. She’s pleased Steph seems to be getting on with Freddie. Shula admits to being a bit surprised about Elizabeth and Vince; they seem so different. Shula shares with Elizabeth her misgivings over her recent visit to Philip and how it’s made her doubt her abilities. Elizabeth’s appalled, and rages at Shula. How could she have gone to see that man? What about Freddie, and all the other people tying themselves in knots because of Philip Moss? Shula realises it was a mistake and tries to apologise but Elizabeth won’t hear it – Shula’s putting her faith over her family. Shula confides in Alistair, who understands. He gets how persuasive Philip can be. She shouldn’t beat herself up about it. But Shula worries Elizabeth’s right – that she’s got her priorities wrong over this. If it drives a wedge between her and her family she doesn’t think she could bear it.
