Josh and Ben remark on how David’s been like ‘Tigger’ since yesterday – he’s taking over the world with his events empire. Josh has a meeting with Borchester Catering about his egg drop situation and asks if Ben can roll the fields for him. Ben agrees; it will give him space to think. Josh’s meeting goes well and he asks Ben what’s wrong. Ben admits it’s to do with Beth – he met her yesterday at Steph’s wedding and although nothing happened, he can’t stop thinking about her. Problem is he’s still going out with Evie and he’s not sure what to do. Josh advises him not to dump Evie over someone he’s just met, but Ben needs time to think. The Aldridge family gather remotely to interview for their new farm manager. They have two candidates: Barnaby and Stella. Jennifer intervenes when Brian and Kate bicker over who should lead the interview. Brain’s miffed when he’s outvoted and Stella is chosen for the job – Kate says he only wanted Barnaby because he’s a mini Brian. Jennifer thinks Stella will make a great manager. Later Brian apologises to Jennifer for losing his temper but Jennifer admits she quite enjoyed his bickering with Kate – things felt normal and for a minute she didn’t think about Alice, Ruairi or anything other than how pig-headed they were! It’s made her dare to hope that they might get back to something resembling a normal life.
