The Archers - A podcast by BBC Radio 4

Categorie:

Susan and Neil are grumpy with one another. Susan feels she’s missing out on George and Keira as all her time is taken up with baby care. She’s also trying to negotiate Martha’s next visit to the Aldridges but doesn’t fancy bumping into unpredictable Alice. Neil tries explain Alice isn’t in her right mind at the moment, and needs some understanding. But Susan can’t forget the shock of the brick through the shop window. She wouldn’t mind some understanding coming her way. Later Neil drops in on Shula, with Martha. He admires Shula’s listening ear, feeling he should be more patient himself. He suggests arranging some riding lessons for Keira, which Shula thinks is a great idea. She’ll provide the first few free. Neil won’t hear of it and offers to tidy Shula’s garden in exchange. Frantic Susan calls, reminding Neil Martha should be at Jennifer’s, and he has to leave. Lynda’s up to her ears in fete logistics. Eddie recommends a break in his limo. Lynda asks him to take her to Darrington. Dressed in smart jacket and tie, Eddie bumps into Rex, who smells a rat. Peggy’s cancelled her regular shopping trip in his cab, and he doesn’t know why. Later Lynda recounts her adventure to Rex. She’d enjoyed being able to wave to Evangeline Lowminster from the limo. Rex accuses Eddie of pinching his customers. Lynda brokers a deal between them. If Eddie stays away from Rex’s regulars, perhaps he can continue with this service to the community? Rex grudgingly acquiesces.
