The Archers - A podcast by BBC Radio 4

Categorie:

Stella helps Ruth find paperwork for an imminent meeting with a carbon auditor and Ruth admits she’s nervous about what the auditor will say. Stella asks her about The Ambridge Mystery Plays – she hasn’t yet got back to Kirsty about becoming an extra. Ruth encourages her to get involved – the whole production is a bit mad but a good laugh as well. Lynda presses Kirsty to stand down the additional extras but Kirsty resists. Lynda remarks on Kirsty’s new assertiveness. Tracy joins them and tells them about Blake’s farewell visit on Sunday. Kirsty and Lynda congratulate Tracy on providing the support Blake needed. But Tracy’s furious when Lynda tells her she’s no longer needed as an extra. Kirsty can’t help but side with Tracy who threatens to report Lynda’s actions to the Queen. Lynda backtracks, citing Tracy’s strong commitment to the production. In The Bull, Ruth tells Stella the carbon audit meeting went well but now she has a new problem. An animal welfare charity has been alerted to Brookfield’s outwintering cows. Stella’s sure nothing will come of it but Ruth’s worried about rumours spreading. Lynda confirms with them both that they can be extras. But when she mentions the cows, Ruth instantly accuses her of contacting the animal charity. Lynda denies this – though she can see why someone would do that. This is the final straw for Ruth. She tells Lynda she’s a good mind not to let her use Brookfield for the Mystery Plays – she can find somewhere else for Herod’s palace!
