Categorie:

Joy felt so liberated stepping in to life model that Elizabeth has to awkwardly return her underwear. Joy’s disappointed to have been beaten to a parish council role by Bernadette. They discuss the next class for mental health and as they get onto the subject Elizabeth decides to stop for a cup of tea, sensing that joy relates to the issue. They talk about Elizabeth’s depression and Joy explains some of her own strategies for coping with loneliness – sharing that she has phoned a helpline and even signed up as a volunteer. Impressed, Elizabeth really enjoys their heart to heart. Jennifer pays Susan and Chris a visit, but her offer to look after Martha is declined and Chris senses that Jennifer doesn’t know the whole truth about why he has taken Alice away. He points out that Alice is lying to Jennifer about her drinking. As Jennifer is hurt that she wasn’t given a clue about Alice’s problems, Chris explains why Fallon and Harrison changed their minds about being godparents. Chris is convinced that Alice doesn’t want to see Martha, but Jennifer defends her daughter. However, she confronts Alice, who’s asleep on the sofa and has clearly had a drink this morning. Alice admits she doesn’t want to see Martha. Jennifer tries to shake some life into Alice and get her to fight for her daughter, but Alice is decided – Martha’s better off with Chris.
