The Archers - A podcast by BBC Radio 4

Categorie:

Lilian drags an appalled Tony off shopping, to choose something special for his upcoming 70th. Out of his comfort zone in the clothing department he steers Lilian towards the toys. She offers to get him a model locomotive, but he insists it’s too much. Tony declares he’s not fazed by his age, and is very happy in retirement. Lilian confesses to being a little jealous of his attitude. She wishes she and Justin could start to slow down, but Justin’s impossible and like a bear with a sore head at home. She’s taking every opportunity to get out of the house. Perhaps Tony could talk to Justin – some of his chilled retirement vibes might rub off? Tony’s beginning to see this shopping trip is more about Lilian than him. Tom’s hopes of a cosy night in with Natasha are dashed when she declares her intention to make another trip in search of the lads, this time to Felpersham. He disagrees that Natasha should support and help Kirsty – surely the idea was to get this scheme out of her system? If she insists on going, he’ll go with them. Natasha refuses this offer, but Tom tries to put his foot down, as her husband. This doesn’t work. So Tom visits Harrison and discloses what Kirsty’s been doing. Could Harrison have a word? Tom gets nervous when Harrison looks like he’s making it official. Harrison warns Natasha they could be seen as interfering with potential witnesses, especially as Kirsty’s Philip’s wife. Harrison lets slip that it was Tom who told him about the situation, and Natasha flies off the handle at Tom, accusing him of trying to get her and Kirsty arrested.
