Tip #1: Liken. Isaiah’s writings can be likened to our current circumstances.(12:40) Tip #2: See it. Try to envision what Isaiah is portraying.(14:01) Tip #3: Know concerning the regions round about. Understanding the context of Isaiah’s world is key to unlocking his words.(16:45) There was division between Israel and Judah in Isaiah’s day. Ephraim and Syria were waging war against Judah. Isaiah counsels King Ahaz to not get into an alliance with any other group of people.(24:43) The coal placed on Isaiah’s lips can be seen as the Atonement that cleanses him.
