John 20 relates that Mary Magdalene is the first witness of the resurrected Savior. 19:22 – Jesus instructs Mary, “Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father.” 25:43 – Other women also see the resurrected Lord. 27:11 – Peter, the chief apostle and key holder on earth sees Jesus next. After Peter, he appeared to 10 of the remaining 12 apostles. Luke relates that Jesus ate with his apostles after his resurrection. Jesus has a body of flesh and bones. 32:09 – Thomas wasn’t there at first when Jesus came to his apostles. He said, “Except I see in his hands the print of the nails…and thrust my hands into his side, I will not believe.” Later, Thomas sees the Lord and believes. John then states, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” 35:46 – Jesus meets two of his disciples on the road to Emmaus and expounds the true meaning of the scriptures. 44:31 – The guards at the tomb see angels. Later, these guards are instructed to say that Jesus’ disciples stole away his body while they slept. Many have witnessed of Jesus, including special witnesses of Christ that have been called in our day. The saints are encouraged to continue on the path with hope in Christ. 50:32 – Peter returns to Galilee and begins fishing. Jesus commands his apostles to teach and baptize all nations.
