Sane Parenting in Insane Times: How the Gospel Leads Parents and Kids to Compassion

Rooted Parent - A podcast by Rooted Ministry, Anna Meade Harris, Cameron Cole, David Thomas - Giovedì

In this episode of the Rooted Parent podcast, Cameron and Anna discuss the gospel attitude of compassion. Understanding the gospel leads us to be grateful to God, humble with regard to ourselves, and compassionate in our responses to other people. The word “compassion,” which means to “suffer with,” defines the heart of Jesus towards sinners (see Phil 2:1-8). Cameron and Anna talk about teaching teens to “suffer with” others. The danger of compassion fatigue in our social-media saturated world makes it a challenge for teenagers to keep their hearts open, but Jesus offers real hope in the midst of trials and suffering.
