Charlie's friend Tao Xu (William Gao) assumes that Nick is heterosexual and  tells Charlie to abandon his feelings, but he refuses. Tao tells him  that Nick has a crush on a girl named Tara Jones (Corinna Brown), whom Elle (Yasmin FInney) soon learns  is in a same-sex relationship with Darcy Olsson (Kizzy Edgell) . While hanging out at  Charlie's house, Nick tries to hold Charlie's hand while he is sleeping  and begins to question his sexuality. Proper Full-On Gay Crisis is inspired by Alice Oseman's Heartstopper, it is a production of Shut Up & Listen in partnership with the leading queer youth organisations from across Ireland and United Kingdom.   About Heartstopper: Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age romantic comedy television series on Netflix, adapted from the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman.
