Parenting Our Future - A podcast by Robbin McManne

While the world has been told to stay indoors, there are many women who are faced with situations where they are trapped with their abusers.  Being forced to exercise physical distancing, and necessary outings only, there are many women faced with abusers who have escalated violence due to added stress, loss of jobs and income.  The isolation creates a perfect storm where woman and children are trapped behind closed doors with fewer eyes on them from friends and family.  There is still help if you are being abused.  My guest Samra Zafar is an abuse survivor and has dedicated her life to advocating for women.  She shares what we can do right now if you are in a dangerous situation and what you can do if you think someone you know is being abused.   Please share this message with anyone who you think might need to hear it.   Read below for resources in your area.    About Samra Zafar Samra Zafar is an award-winning internationally renowned speaker, and bestselling author, who advocates for human rights, equity, mental health.
