Happy Full House Friday Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today I have for you the next episode in the Full House Summer Fun Series: Full House S7E1: It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, which aired on September 14, 1993. In this episode the girls come back from Camp Lakota (a 3 week not 6 week camp I later learned from Danny as he collects the girls clothes to throw in the wash), The girls still have Camp Brain and haven't adjusted to San Francisco time yet as proven when they chant the Camp Lakota song going up the stairs and that makes the guys and Becky even more depressed like "did they even miss us? Doesn't seem like it." Jesse and Becky have their own kid dilemma as they try to get Nicky and Alex to adjust to their new race car beds but the boys just want to sleep in the "big bed". Another example of Jesse and Becky not being firm with their boys and just laughing at their antics and giving in, granted there is a cute scene where Jesse and Becky squeeze themselves into the toddler beds in hopes that the twins will just fall asleep beside them. Fat chance, Jesse and Becky sleep deprived, konk out within minutes and the twins race away to the "big bed". (me shaking my head disapprovingly). But, seriously, What do I know, I'm not a parent. Meanwhile, Michelle brings home Gilbert the rabbit in a duffle bag. Gah! Let me just say I have a rant about the proper care of a rabbit since I've owned two in my life also the cage set up in the beginning at camp UGH! The rabbit is what leads the girls to head back to camp and drop him off while there Steve's Cropsey ghost story (told to the kids at the beginning of the episode) comes to life. The girls get a dose of reality when their precious Camp Lakota memories are tarnished upon arrival to see it's raining, and the powers gone out and Steve's car gets stuck in the mud. Danny and Joey come to the rescue. The ending of this episode went a little to far with the smores on Joey's pants, the can of whipped cream and the cherry and then Comet comes along to chomp on Joey's behind. Honestly, I feel like this whole scene bordered on some pornographic fantasy of someone's (I'm scared to know whos). I understand this scene was meant to be funny, but it was just nasty and uncomfortable to watch. Join me next week as we enter August (my birthday month) I will be focusing on birthday episodes! Kicking it off with Full House S3E17: 13 Candles, which aired on February 9, 1990. In this episode The family causes D.J. to become embarrassed at her 13th birthday party, and she admits that she has some feelings for a special boy.
