In 1990 I spent 3 weeks photographing in Northern Japan with an 85 lb backpack. A full 45 lb of that was my photography gear. Here in my aging years, I'm sure glad I have a lighter weight equipment that allows me to still be creative, in fact I'm in the most productive years of my life because of it.
