Living in a geologically active country, Icelandic museum professionals have long had to prepare for emergencies like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Ingibjörg shares how she and her colleagues have developed hands-on training courses, built emergency response teams, and worked across institutions to improve disaster preparedness — lessons that are increasingly relevant as climate change, war, and natural disasters continue to threaten cultural heritage worldwide.
