Italian Wine Podcast - A podcast by Italian Wine Podcast

Welcome to Episode 935 Marc Millon interviews Alberto Pezzuoli of the Azienda Agricola Pezzuoli, in this special 5Star Wines & Wine Without Walls episode of Wine, Food & Travel with Marc Millon on the Italian Wine Podcast. This is part of a special sub series in which Marc interviews the winners of the competition in the coming weeks! More about today’s winery: Their cellar has existed since 1932, and they have been winemakers for four generations. The winery is family run. The first office was in Carpi. After the Second World War Alberto’s grandfather moved the production to Maranello. Since then they have continued to develop, following innovation, always with a view to optimizing product quality. Farmers for three generations, always rooted in the fertile soils of the hills and plains of Modena, at Cantina Pezzuoli they take care of the DOC vines of the famous Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce, of which they own the first vine registered in the DOC register, and also the vines of Lambrusco di Sorbara, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro and other great wines. Only in this way can one of the most extraordinary examples of alcoholic fermentation be obtained, through skillful vinification in the cellar at strictly controlled temperature and humidity, as tradition dictates, creating excellent Lambrusco.
