The Blessed Trinity

In Your Presence - A podcast by Eric Nicolai

We have just finished the Easter season, ending it with the solemnity of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit comes ands fires up the apostles in the cenacle. Before they were afraid and doubtful, now they are on fire and ready to undertake the mission. It is what we call "the time of the church". Which is why we are now in the season called “Ordinary Time”. Not ordinary in the sense of boring, or unappealing. But ordinary in the sense of the normal, habitual action of God in the world, through in the Church. This ordinary time also has solemnities, or special feasts that are outside the Easter season. They are Trinity Sunday, the solemnity of Corpus Christi, and then the Sacred Heart. Sunday is the solemnity of the blessed Trinity. The Church invites us to meditate on Matthew 28:16-20 where the apostles where with Lord in Galilee. Some still doubted. What does this mean? Preached in Lyncroft by Fr. Eric Nicolai in preparation for the feast of the Blessed Trinity. Music: Romance anonimo Jeux interdits (Pierre Laniau?)
