In November 1984, St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Lieutenant Sherman Ray Walker was ambushed and gunned down while attempting to leave his residence to go to work. One of the three convicted assailants, Willie Rogers, Jr., has recently applied for clemency while serving out his sentence at Angola. Rogers’ clemency hearing is scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2020. We need our listeners’ help this weekend! Please call Ms. Ketchens with the Louisiana Department of Corrections at (225) 255-3273 and leave a voicemail expressing your concerns. Please let her know that Willie Rogers should not be a free man!!
