Hello, and welcome to Getting More Done With Evernote, Episode 001.
On this episode, I’m going to cover:
- A major change to Evernote’s integration with LinkedIn,
- The Behind the Scenes Evernote video series so far, and
- recent, notable updates and bugs on Evernote Web, the note editor, Windows and macOS apps.
I’m your host, Ray Sidney-Smith, Evernote user since 2009, Evernote Certified Consultant and Evernote Regional Leader for North America. As you can imagine, I love Evernote. And, with Getting More Done With Evernote, I hope to help everyone love Evernote, or at least digital note-taking, a little more with each episode.
- Important changes to LinkedIn integrations
- NEW VIDEO: Behind the Scenes: An Interview with Evernote CEO Ian Small
- New Firefox Evernote Web client coming soon!
- More Behind the Scenes video coming.
- More consistent tag implementation across Evernote product suite. Yay!
- Ian Small is an introvert... He thanks the Evernote community for watching and engaging with the video scenes. Post and engage in the forums, discussion.evernote.com.
- macOS bug in Spotlight; Evernote is working on it. For what it’s worth, I’m using macOS High Sierra (10.13.6) and Spotlight is working for me. So, perhaps it’s something that happens with Spotlight’s code in Mojave that changed. Evernote is working on fixing that.
- Editor Preview - Auto-formatting features (Web and desktop) - not quite markdown but useful to power users looking for less switching between keyboard and mouse for formatting. See How to use auto-formatting for full details on the features. Also, Marxi.co is a Web-based Markdown editor for Evernote, but note that notes are only editable within Marxico.
- Evernote for Windows (July 1, 2019) - Release Notes for Version 6.19.2 Public (308555)
---
Note: Versions 6.19 is supported in Windows OS versions 7 and up.
Windows 6.19
New:
- Automated file splitting on export of enex files. We are making it easier to backup and import files, especially on file systems that do not support large files or systems with low memory...
-Security update
Fixed:
- Korean characters are changed to Kanji or question marks in Work Chat
- Fixed an error in export option when selecting all notes (Ctrl + A)
- Cursor jumps to beginning of note body during sync while editing note in shared notebook
- Fixed an issue with changing Evernote DB location
