The medical world is grappling with these terms as they seek to become more inclusive of transgender and non-binary people. However a new paper compiled by experts in the field of pregnancy and birth say that changing the language for everyone may end up doing more harm than good. Dr Karleen Gribble is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Western Sydney.
