“We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”. Native American Proverb
As Ireland is waking up to the need to be more environmentally friendly, at everymum we support women who are committing their time and their talents to building a better future for our children. Women who are pushing boundaries in politics and parents who are raising more socially and environmentally conscious kids.
In this episode of everymum the podcast, Deirdre Ní Fhloinn, mum of 3, Barrister, Solicitor and recently elected Green Party Councillor shares her personal journey of raising a family while fighting for climate change. We learn what’s holding women back from taking part in politics, how children are challenging us all to protect this earth and what we can do as busy mums to encourage our children to grow up to be environmental superheroes.
It hasn’t all been easy, and it’s certainly taken a huge amount of work and sacrifice, but Deirdre inspires us all to shout louder and to believe in the power of every mum using her strength and unique skills to do good.
