Terry Blackwood is the son of Doyle Blackwood, original co-founder of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet.  Terry's distinctive vocal styling has been featured on many chart topping singles  Terry joined the imperials qt in 1967 and two years later in 1969 the group were picked by Elvis to sing with him on his return to live performances that July.  The Imperials continued to sing back-up for Elvis until the fall of 1971, and can be seen in the movie Elvis 'That's The Way It Is'.  They recorded in the studio with him in May / June 1971, when Elvis recorded the Grammy Award winning album 'He Touched Me'. I’m delighted to say that Terry joins me on the show now to tell me more about working with Elvis.
