#186 - Sheeka Sanahori on Telling Stories from Around the World

Sheeka Sanahori is the Director of Video for Lonely Planet, where she is responsible for the creative vision of Lonely Planet video across all platforms. Before joining Lonely Planet she served as the Senior Producer of Video at USA Today.  Sheeka has a wide variety of international media experience. In her current role, she collaborates with cross-functional teams in Ireland, India, and Australia. Earlier in her career, she produced and shot a series of videos about wildlife conservation in Kenya as a fellow for the International Center for Journalists' Bringing Home the World fellowship. She has served as a recurring professional development workshop instructor for VTV media professionals in Vietnam. Sheeka also spent three months as a visiting resident at Magzter in Chennai, India, working for Asia's largest digital magazine newsstand. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast News from the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and her Master’s Degree in Media Strategy and Leadership from Northwest University.
