Dope Black Dads Podcast - A podcast by Dope Black Dads Podcast
Categorie:
Following on from our conversation last week about sending children back to school, we invited Laura Osei who is the headteacher of the Eden School onto the podcast. The Eden School is an independent faith school specifically for Black Children from Nursery to Sixth form. Together with Laura, Donald and Kwame discuss how Black studies are incorporated into the curriculum, the importance of this; how the school teaches it's children how to love the skin that they're in and develop self esteem. They also discuss whether the current school system is failing Black children and whether we should support more schools like the Eden School. Dope Black Dads is place where we are changing the narrative and having progressive conversations about black fathers, as well as creating a safe digital space for the community. Your hosts this week is Donald Mbeutcha.
