Dads: Do We Need Black Billionaires?

Dope Black Dads Podcast - A podcast by Dope Black Dads Podcast

It was recently announced that Kanye West is part of Forbe's Billionaires list. Mr West is one of only 7 black billionaires in the world. At a time where 14 million people in the UK live in poverty, we ask the question, is it important to have black billionaires? We also discuss whether we are more critical of black businesses given that AfroNation is yet to cancel the festival in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. At the time of recording Wireless, Creamfields and AfroNation had no announced postponing their festivals.  This week Marvyn is joined by Darwood Grace, Forbes writer Tommy Williams and Amani Simpson, CEO of Aviard Inspires. Dope Black Dads is place where we are changing the narrative and having progressive conversations about black fathers, as well as creating a safe digital space for the community. Your host is Marvyn Harrison.   Join the conversation and community online through our social channels:   Twitter: @DopeBlackDads Instagram: @DopeBlackDads Facebook Page: @DopeBlackDads  If you want to get in touch with us, email us on [email protected] or follow our conversations in depth in our private Facebook Group by searching “Dope Black Dads”
