EP47: Hot on the heels of the inaugural NZHIT Summit held on the 29th of October 2020, Darren joins Scott in this episode to talk about the disruption caused by Covid-19 especially when it comes to the plans he had for the National Health Information Platform (nHIP). Darren provides background to what happened to the nHIP business case as a result of New Zealand going into full lockdown in early March 2020 and an update on plans for the future. Darren was keynote speaker at the Summit and his presentation provided an excellent update on nHIP, what it is, what it isn't, it's purpose and where it's headed. It's excellent that he was able to also chat with Scott for this episode as it's important for listeners to understand what's happening with this very important piece of work. Darren is also going to be the guest on the next session of "Spill the Beans with Scott" where he'll provide more detailed information on nHIP. This is going to be a virtual Teams webinar on the 18th of November from 11am to 12pm. Check out the events page on our website for further information on how to request an invite - www.nzhit.nz As usual, you can contact Scott directly on [email protected] and please make sure to subscribe to this podcast show, share with your friends and colleagues, leave a comment and provide a rating.
