The New Rules of Networking

 Over the past ten months we have all learned that no one knows when the next big change is going to happen. Look for shared interests and commonalities with others, including alma maters, organizations, and friends.  Be intentional when you go into conversations — define your purpose for being in there.  Have a story to tell that is unscripted and interesting.  Don't prejudge other people.  Have fun — enjoy the opportunities that come with connecting with others.    How to network during the pandemic You have to take ownership of finding ways to connect with others. Attend the virtual events that are currently available.  Reach out to the contacts that you already have.  Be the person who creates virtual events.
