In the market report we are joined by Andrew where he updates us on what’s been happening in the grain markets for the week commencing 24th April 2023. He also gives some good news for any farmers, consumers and merchants who might be listening.  In Farmchat, Volodymyr shares his story of life before fleeing to the UK to escape the Russian invasion of Ukraine and not being obliged to stay and fight the Ukrainian war due to being Georgian. Joined by his family and now living in Aylsham, Volodymyr’s wife is Ukrainian and his three young children are settled into school and speaking perfect English.  He has been working with the Dewing Grain team for the past 6 months, keeping an eye on farm stores. Andrew & Volodymyr discuss the issue of the number of rations in Georgia and the impact that this dreadful war is having on its surrounding countries. Volodymyr suggests everyone listening should visit his beautiful home city, Tbilisi, the Capital of Georgia, and Andrew touches upon the emotional visits for Ukrainian families, finally going back to visit loved ones after such a long time. Giving thanks to the Dewing Grain team for helping him and his family feel so happy and settled whilst living over here in the UK… We hope he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! Another reminder for all joining us on our Dewing Grain Walk, it’s on Friday 28th April at 11am in Cromer. What three words are as follows: important, flute, stove. We look forward to seeing you there! As always, thanks to our listeners, old and new, and remember to keep in touch by heading over to @dewinggrain on Twitter and Instagram. Hosted on Acast.
