The media is not what it seems. The short form mainstream media interview is not a place to deliberate but a battle of wits. You don't answer questions because they are designed to humiliate you and/or trap you into reformist logics. The media is a site of action - disruption: verbal and physical. Long form interviews provide more opportunities to calmly take the criticism and yourself to be human in the face of dogmatic attack. Either way the name of the game is not to play the game.
