#119 — Hassan Kadbi — Hapimag

HOTEL-PODCAST - A podcast by Ronald M. Arndt

"We don’t have enough capacity for all the people who want to stay with us." This statement comes from Hassan Kadbi, CEO of Hapimag. Founded in 1963 in Zug, Switzerland, Hapimag operates 56 resorts, primarily across Europe, with additional locations in Turkey and Morocco. Hassan joined the company nearly 20 years ago as a hotel manager and now leads Hapimag through a co-leadership model. But what does the company’s vision, "More happy people for a better world," truly mean? And how does Hapimag’s unique shareholder model work? With over 100,000 shareholders, 2.6 million overnight stays, and 450,000 guests arriving last year alone, the numbers are impressive. However, sustainable growth is key, and sometimes that means no longer being able to accept new shareholders. As Hassan explains, "This type of holiday model is more responsible and sustainable than, for example, owning a single apartment somewhere. Instead, you have access to 5,000 apartments across Europe and beyond." With this, Katharina and Ronald send their best wishes to Hassan and the Hapimag team, and look forward to returning next year —dinner by the lake included, of course.
