During our conversation, Terica recalls how Hurricane Katrina interrupted her HBCU experience, the barriers she faced during undergrad and interviews, and how the recession led her to the field of education. As a paraprofessional, Terica speaks about the unique perspective she has when engaging with students and how strong mentorship from her school leader kept her in the classroom.
