Bethard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at USF. His research explores questions at the intersection of biological anthropology and archaeology, most notably in the fields of bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. He has conducted field and laboratory work in the United States, Peru, and the Transylvanian region of Romania. Beyond bioarchaeology, he is also interested in the application of forensic anthropology outside of the United States.
