Steve Cooper took his Forest side to South Yorkshire to face Barnsley - a team who've inflicted damage upon the Reds in recent years - and the new head coach picked up his first win since taking charge with an enjoyable 3-1 success. Forest shaded the first half but it was Barnsley who led on 20 minutes, as Cauley Woodrow converted the penalty he'd won after being hauled down in the box by Tobias Figuereido. Forest fought back in the second half, though, with the introduction of Lewis Grabban for Figuereido and a switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation providing the catalyst for goals. Grabban released Brennan Johnson down the right-hand side and he squared the ball across goal to provide Philip Zinckernagel with a simple tap-in, before Johnson made it 2-1 with a neat finish soon after. Grabban later got his goal after Alex Mighten's trickery saw him get away down the left before sliding the ball across for Grabban to convert. Forest were rewarded for a positive display as they took advantage of gaps in the Barnsley defence and it's possible they could have had even more on a night that provided plenty of enjoyment for the travelling Reds at Oakwell, as well as those watching on TV. Steven is joined by Tom for this match report, where they reflect on the impact Cooper is already having with the team, his positive substitutions on the night and Forest serving up some enjoyable attacking football.
